“I joined the presentation team on BBC Gardeners’ World 2017-19. Was fortunate to participate in the iconic 50th-anniversary celebrations in 2018. It was an overall amazing experience to be part of such a heritage brand and to be the first black woman on a mainstream gardening programme. A fantastic opportunity, where I made some enduring connections.”

“I was really chuffed to be asked to be on the panel for the BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour 2020 Powerlist. At a time when the world felt like it was in freefall and concerns for our own and the collective wellbeing were at the forefront of everyone’s mind, to have the opportunity to sit down, take stock and elevate the work of some amazing women and their commitment to our planet, was a supreme honour. I met some truly standout women on the panel, read about real champions of causes at grassroots right through to policy and academic level. I came away with a greater sense of the often unspotlighted but crucial work that is happening around the UK by women who are passionate and commit their time to work they believe in wholeheartedly… AND I got to sit in the Radio 4 studio with a broadcasting legend!”
